Abominor is a Boss encountered in Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance. It is the final boss of the Ancient Hunger Mini-Campaign.
Overview[]
Hunger impersonated, an ancient being capable of devouring the world itself if left unchecked.
Strategy[]
In the introduction scene and throughout the stage, Abominor will always temporarily breaks off his restraint and devour a tower at random, turning it into rubble which you have to pay to restore it. Hence, it is advised to always save a reserve of 220 gold(the cost of restoring a tower) if there are highly upgraded towers built in order to quickly restore it. In the early game, consider building one or two high leveled towers in good towers spots, with low leveled tower in worse tower spot to reduce the chance that highly upgrade towers gets turned to rubble in early game(and you can worry about restoring low levelled towers later when money is less tight).
Before the boss fight, make sure to move your heroes either next to right exit or close to the left tunnel to avoid them from getting killed when boss comes onto the path.
Fighting off Abominor can be difficult since he will devours towers and units in his vicinity and spawned numerous crokinders in the path after devouring them (fully upgraded Tricannons and Eldritch sorcerers are very effective against the crokinders). Additionally, Abominor will evolve into a bigger, stronger but slower form, every time he lose a portion of his health. This also allow the boss to heal a decent amount of hp(1700/2200/1700/4000 for each phase change). Abominor evolves four times during the fight in which he could throw poison in second and third form, and throw fire in his final form. Numerous lizardshots and killgators are also spawned to protect him. It is very advisable to stall him as long as possible at the very beginning of the fight at least until he reach his third or final form since Abominor in his early form moved quite fast.
After his final form is defeated, Abominor will roar in agony one last time before he shrinking back to his normal size and binded with Arborean's root spell. In the epilogue, Abominor is turned into a giant leathered purse by Sylvara.
