Ballooning Spiders are enemies introduced in the Arachnophobia Campaign in Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance.

Fast and sneaky spiders with a knack for avoiding trouble.
Strategy[]
These pests will open up their web balloons once they encounter player's troops or Reinforcements to fly over them and evade melee combat, so placing barracks near the entrance might not seem to be a good idea at first. However, in most levels where Ballooning Spiders show up floors are covered in web that provides speed boost to any spider that walks over it. When Ballooning Spiders start flying, they lose this advantage, and their flying speed is fairly slow; also, once they lift up in the air, Ballooning Spiders will never get back down. High level Dune Sentinels or Surge Colossus should be more then enough to get rid of them; Cannoneer Squad fits perfectly to meet them, forcing Ballooning Spiders to start flying, and greet them with rain of bullets.
