Towers

There are four main Tower types in the Kingdom Rush Tower Defense games:
- Ranged Towers

In Kingdom Rush, Kingdom Rush: Frontiers and Kingdom Rush: Origins, the main towers strictly conform to these categories. From Kingdom Rush: Vengeance onwards, towers are more likely to share characteristics or have functions that shift them out of the strict categorization.

Hybrid Towers have two or more characteristics, without the need to purchase skills.

Special Towers do not fall into any category, and have their own unique modes of operation.

Mercenary Towers allow the purchase of one time melee units, that need to be repurchased after defeat.
