Crokinder are enemies encountered in Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance. They were introduced as part of the Ancient Hunger Mini-Campaign.

Overview[]

Newly born and unstoppable on their feet. "They grow so fast" was a phrase invented thanks to these little ones full of surprises.

Strategy[]

  • They always come in packs and sport the lowest amount of health of all the Crocs met throughout the Mini-Campaign, so having a reliable source of area damage is just common sense. High level Tricannon works wonders against Crokinders; Dune Sentinels can be useful as well, but require either multiple towers to be placed or support from Arcane Wizard's Empowerment ability.
  • Crokinders are immune to damage during the hatching animation, and hatched Gators will always have full health.
  • Low health basically turns Crokinders into fuel for Twilight Longbows and their Thrill Of The Hunt ability, preparing them for more resilient enemies. However, Longbow's low rate of fire can quickly render the player overwhelmed by surviving Crokinders turning into Gators and marching forward - high level Dune Sentinels can lend a helping hand in such a situation, and can even benefit from them as Bounty Hunt allows for easy profit from waves featuring Crokinders.
  • Defeating a Crokinder yields 3 less Gold compared to killing the Gator that hatches out of it. However, ultimately it's worth it to destroy as many Crokinders as you can to relieve pressure, especially during earlier waves.
  • Heroes with strong ranged attacks such as Therien, Nyru and Bonehart excel at dealing with these enemies. Simply place them at the end of the path, and they will clear out all of the approaching Crokinders.
  • Abominor periodically spawns many of these enemies at once further down the path, potentially very close to the exit should he be far enough down the path. Ensure you are ready for this with high level artillery near the eastern exit in Starving Hollow.
