Darksteel Guardian are enemies included in the Colossal Dwarfare DLC in Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance.
Overview[]
Sturdy battle suits operated by dwarven warriors and powered by fiery engines. Talk about being dressed to kill..
Strategy[]
- Note that this enemy happens to be fully immune to most forms of stun, despite their infocard not making note of such. As a result, towers such as the Demon Pit and fully upgraded Ballista Outpost, towers which are otherwise fantastic at stunning and locking down minibosses, will be far less effective at impeding Darksteel Guardians.
- After the set of nerfs dealt to Colossal Dwarfare enemies in general, the area attack from the Darksteel Guardian is easier to deal with than it may appear, being an easy target for being stalled by your hero or with Linirean Reinforcements. Fully upgraded Paladins are ultimately the best choice in completely halting and shutting down Guardians.
- They lose their area attack when low on health. Exploit this by swarming them with many weaker units.
- Arcane Wizards are extremely good at dealing with this enemy, as the tower's high damage per second that bypasses this enemy's armour makes short work of them, especially once Disintegrate has been purchased, taking enormous chunks out of this enemy's HP, especially if it's under the effects of the Arborean Emissary. Combining both of these, the tower is capable of shaving off practically half of a Darksteel Guardian's health on Impossible Mode.
- Elven Stargazers are also quite highly recommended, as their current damage per second surpasses that of the Arcane Wizard.
