Deep King is the third boss and one of the titular kings of the Pirate Kings DLC in Kingdom Rush: Vengeance. This bloodthirsty giant shark rules over the Sharkpool Reef and that's where his first battle with the player takes place.
Overview[]
The most dangerous of the shark pirates. His powerful jaws devour anything foolish enough to stand in his way.
Deep King will initiate the battle by emerging at the top left path; after he reaches about 75-70% of his HP, he will briefly return to his throne before storming the middle right path. He will repeat this maneuver after the player reduces him to about 45% of his HP, this time appearing at the bottom right lane and making his way to the bottom exit until the end of the stage.
As all other shark pirates, the Deep King has the lifesteal ability, regaining some of his lost life points whenever he attacks a unit. Every 15 seconds, he will pull out a conch shell phone and summon either two Tigershark Ragers, a Bullshark Dasher, or one of each to battle. However, none of this compares to his most deadly trick; occasionally, the giant shark can dive, emerge undearneath one of the adjacent towers, and swallow it whole, permanently destroying it.
In Treasure Island, the Deep King is the third king to enter the fray at the beginning of wave 12. He behaves very similarly to his Sharkpool Reef version, just without the ability to switch paths.
Strategy[]
Deep King is very similar in its abilities to the enemy Megalodon, which also appears in the phase when Deep King appears. Only, of course, Deep King is a boss, so his abilities will be used in a more powerful and destructive way than just a normal enemy.
Because of his great imagination Deep King for Megalodon, so the strategy that is effective against him will be very reminiscent of the strategy against the Megalodon.
There is no doubt that the most effective hero for defeating Deep King is Murglun. Of course, like Megalodon, Deep King can also eat enemies in one hit and thus also raise his own life, so even against him, dragon heroes or any hero that doesn't fight up close would be more effective. But Murglun is by far the most effective against him because of her effective damage output and her Volcanic Barrage power which is by far the most effective Ultimate Spell against bosses. It's also important to note that other dragon heroes like Eiskalt or Beresad aren't a good replacement for Murglun at this point and certainly wouldn't be as effective against Deep King. But other heroes like Doom Tank SG-11 and Dianyun can be very effective in this fight (but they were still less effective than Murglun).
also to defeat the Deep King and also in order to defeat Megalodon you need a weapon with a very high attack rating. It is recommended to use Orc Shaman, Blazing Gem, and the most recommended is Infernal Mage. But remember that weapons with high attack and fighters like Deep Devil's Reef and weapons with high attack and high cost like the Goblin War Zeppelin are much less recommended against him because if they have fighters in the tower, then Deep King would simply overpower them and they were relieved of that. And if the tower has a height price then it makes it much less profitable because of the ability of Deep King destroy towers.
