Evolving Scourges are minions of the Overseer, encountered in the final stages of Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance.

They might look almost cuddly at first sight, but if the Scourge feeds on fallen prey things will get awry fast.
While Evolving Scourges are not very strong when they first spawn, they can devour units below 30% HP, with a cooldown of 20 seconds. When an Evolving Scourge does this, it evolves, increasing its maximum HP and attack damage in exchange for moving more slowly and providing more gold when killed. In their third and final form, Evolving Scourges gain the ability to fly.
When affected by the Glare, they immediately evolve to their final form, and heal 15HP per 0.25s.
Strategy[]
The Evolving Scourges are creatures that start the battle as relatively healthy but if they are not stopped in time they keep getting stronger. Their first boost turns them from creatures with average strength into creatures with relatively massive strength, and as they manage to progress even further they become very powerful flying enemies. Therefore, it is highly recommended to stop them as soon as possible so that they do not have time to develop. It is recommended to delay them with any kind of troop guard and cover of at least one Arcane Wizard type tower. Arcane Wizard's instant kill power can make Evolving Scourge very effective against for killing them quickly before they can evolve.
