HeroProfile Lynn

Lynn the Hexblade is a Hero in Kingdom Rush: Origins. She is unlocked by paying $4.99 as an in-app purchase or by beating level 15 in the Steam version. She starts at level 5.

Description[]

Once Baj'Nimen's trusted bodyguard and part of the Twilight Elves army that invaded the lands, she has made the most difficult of choices and opposed her brethren in order to protect her home and people, even if this means facing her former master in the battlefield.

Skills[]

Lynn 1 HEX FURY LynnHexFury (active, cooldown: 16 seconds) (4/4/4 hero points):

Attacks up to 2/4/6 times dealing 120/240/360 true damage (60 damage per attack). If target is cursed it deals extra 40/80/120 damage *480 damage* (+20 damage per attack).

Lynn 2 CURSE OF DESPAIR LynnCurseofDespair (active, cooldown: 18 seconds) (2/2/2 hero points):

Curses up to 5 enemies, reducing their damage (-10%/-20%/-30%) and slowing their movement (-30%/-40%/-50%) for 4/6/8 seconds. (Requires at least 3 targets in her vicinity to trigger.)

Lynn 3 WEAKENING CURSE LynnWeakeningCurse1 (active, cooldown: 14 seconds) (2/2/2 hero points):

Reduces target's armor (-30%/-50%/-70%) and magic resistance (-30%/-50%/-70%) for 4/6/8 seconds.
(It is bugged on iPadOS in that it resets the target's magic resistance to 30%/50%/70%.)

Lynn 4 CHARM OF MISFORTUNE (passive) (1/1/1 hero points):

Gives 15/30/45% chance that the next incoming attack misses.

Hero Spell[]

Lynn 5 FATE SEALED (active, cooldown: 30 seconds) (3/3/3 hero points):

A curse that deals 340/520/700 true damage* over 5 seconds. The target explodes, dealing 200/250/300 true area damage (area: 150) if killed.

Tips and Tricks[]

Lynn is a melee physical hero that excels at weakening and assassinating the toughest of foes with the help of her curses. Her skillikit revolves around curses, which can trigger Hex Fury's coup de grâce in the form of bonus damage. Even without the help of her curses, Lynn is able to avoid all incoming attacks well, thus allowing her to block foes in melee combat with no exceptions. With proper micromanagement and timing of Hex Fury and Fate Sealed, Lynn will be able to eliminate a tough foe from the battlefield whilst potentially basking in the aftermath of glory that ravages surrounding enemies near her doomed victim.

  • Hex Fury is Lynn's signature skill and all of her curses, her Hero Spell included, help trigger the ability's bonus damage. Hex Fury deals up to 60 true damage every 0.5 seconds, with a bonus of 20 additional true damage if the target is cursed, up to a maximum of 3 seconds. This skill triggers while in melee combat and has a relatively short cooldown of 16 seconds.
    • Due to the easily obtained conditional circumstances to trigger Hex Fury's bonus damage, it is recommended to curse enemies beforehand before engaging in melee combat.
    • Hex Fury helps in assassinating and weakening potential foes while they are cursed by Curse of Despair, Weakening Curse, or Fate Sealed. As such, micromanaging Lynn to her preferred target is paramount to her usefulness.
    • Knowledge in Hex Fury's cooldowns and timing Lynn to engage or disengage in melee combat is especially important. This is because while Hex Fury can be used on foes that weren't cursed, it will be a waste of damage potential, and should the targeted enemy is a fragile unit, this skill will deal overkill damage, which will be something to avoid.
    • It is also important to watch Lynn's health as she will be engaged on combat for at least 3 seconds for her Hex Fury to fully inflict the full damage potential. Be aware of foes that can bypass her Charm of Misfortune, such as ranged attackers, area attackers, and foes that inflict true damage over time.
  • Curse of Despair serves as a great opening tool for Lynn and her allies to wreck havoc on up to 5 foes. Enemies afflicted by Curse of Despair have their damage reduced by up to 30% and slowing their movement speed by up to 50%, for up to 8 seconds. This can be used as a great supportive tool for any player chokepoints to engage afflicted foes in combat longer. Curse of Despair has a cooldown of 18 seconds.
    • Curse of Despair, like all of Lynn's curse skills, will amplify the damage of Hex Fury to an afflicted target.
    • Curse of Despair will replace any existing curses on enemies. While it is important to take note of the changes in curses, this can be useful as it will maintain a chosen target's viability for Lynn to engage.
    • One way of fully utilizing Curse of Despair is to position Lynn directly near a tough foe for elimination. This increases the odds of Curse of Despair afflicting Lynn's chosen target.
    • Lynn can trigger Curse of Despair whilst engaged in melee combat.
    • Curse of Despair can only be used with at least 3 enemies in range.
  • Weakening Curse is a powerful tool to shred down Lynn's chosen target with or without the use of Hex Fury. Weakening Curse reduces both physical and magical resistances of a single enemy by up to 70%, for up to 8 seconds. This skill also recharges fast at 14 seconds.
    • On iOS, it is unfortunately bugged to reset an enemy's resistance to up to 70%.
    • Weakening Curse, like all of Lynn's curse skills, will amplify the damage of Hex Fury to an afflicted target.
    • Weakening Curse will replace any existing curses on enemies. While it is important to take note of the changes in curses, this can be useful as it will maintain a chosen target's viability for Lynn to engage.
    • Lynn can trigger Weakening Curse whilst engaged in melee combat. She will prioritize her engaged enemy before other targets.
    • Weakening Curse is especially useful against armored enemies such as Twilight Golems, Twilight Avengers or bosses such as Hi-Hi Enha.
  • Charm of Misfortune is Lynn's passive skill that allows her to dodge incoming attacks from foes. This skill helps boost Lynn's survivability while engaged in melee combat with a foe.
    • At Level 10, Lynn will have 40% armor and a 45% chance to negate all types of attacks. Therefore she will be able to tank hefty amounts of damage and stall large enemies, nearly paralleling Prince Denas' stalling power.
    • Unlike most dodge passives, Charm of Misfortune applies universally to all forms of damage with the exception of status afflictions such as poison. This allows Lynn to handle ranged foes and tough foes with area attacks with some impunity.
  • Fate Sealed, Lynn's Hero Spell, serves as a strong damage over time of up to 700 true damage over 5 seconds to a chosen target, whilst counting as a curse. If the target dies while afflicted by Fate Sealed, it explodes dealing up to 300 true damage in a 150 meter radius around the afflicted target. With a cooldown of 30 seconds, it can be utilized readily and urgently on a target that has to be taken out quick.
    • As Fate Sealed counts as a curse, it replaces any existing curse on the target and leaves enemies susceptible to Hex Fury's bonus damage. Unlike Lynn's curses, Fate Sealed cannot be replaced by any curse until the duration is over.
    • When utilizing Fate Sealed, it is recommended to prioritize the elimination of the target of Fate Sealed, as the bonus death effect of Fate Sealed can be used to injure or kill weaker foes.
    • Fate Sealed can be paired with various damage amplification effects such as Golden Longbows' Hunter's Mark. It simultaneously amplifies all sources of damage Lynn can deal to her target.
  • Lynn can level up faster than any Hero in Kingdom Rush: Origins. With all her abilities at least at level 1 and when kept busy, she can be level 10 in 15 minutes.
