Frozen Souls are enemies encountered in the Frozen North terrain in Kingdom Rush: Vengeance. They were introduced in the Frozen Nightmare Mini-Campaign. They are spawned when a Frozen Heart is defeated.
Overview
Frozen Soul appears after the death of Frozen Heart. If it is not killed in 8 seconds, Frozen Heart rises from its soul and the life cycles again until its soul has been killed. The resurrection does not occur when it's within 60 nodes from the exit.
- It's possibly bugged at the moment as some magic attacks, like Wicked Sisters, do not always work.
Frozen Souls also appear in the Iron Challenge of Breaking the Ice. Unlike its counterpart of the soul from a Frozen Heart, they are spawned directly from entrances. They have a bit of different appearance, higher health, physical immunity, and grant less bounty when killed. Though its quality seems higher, it is typically less dangerous than the one from Frozen Heart, as they do not reform into a Frozen Heart, and remain a soul forever.
Strategy
- Magic Towers are a must, as the Frozen Soul has extremely high armor and a very short vulnerability period. However, the Blazing Gem should be avoided as it will most likely target another enemy behind when the Frozen Heart is killed, instead of the Frozen Soul that escapes.
- Infernal Mage is not restricted in the Iron Challenge of Breaking the Ice. It should be used to kill Frozen Souls. Artillery (which in that case, is Rocket Riders) also deals damage to them, but enemies receive 50% of the damage from artillery, which ignores half of the enemies' armor.
