Giant Rats are enemies that appear in the Curse of Castle Blackburn mini-campaign in the Steam, iOS, and Android versions of Kingdom Rush.
Overview[]
Vicious rodents with razor sharp teeth that can tear through almost everything.
Giant rats have low health, no armor, no magic resistance, but their fast speed and their disease can tear through the player's defenses easily. In addition, they almost always come in packs which makes them difficult to stop and may emerge from the piles of trash present in the Blackburn mini-campaign levels. Towers should be placed near those to prevent the rats from sneaking through. Barracks are virtually useless, because of the rats' potent disease which will cripple even Paladins in a matter of seconds.
The disease deals 90 True Damage over 2 seconds. In addition, it halves the damage of the affected soldiers, Heroes and Earth Elementals.
Strategy[]
- Giant Rats always come in groups and, because of their low health, the Tesla x104 or the Big Bertha can smash them easily.
- Rangers Hideout with the Wrath of the Forest upgrade can kill them instantly (if upgraded fully) or at least hold them in place for the other Towers to deal damage.
- Because Giant Rats poison soldiers, it is not recommended to place soldiers near them which can make them die in seconds.
