Gryphon Bombadier is an enemy found in Kingdom Rush: Vengeance, first encountered in Silveroak Outpost.
Overview
Dwarves riding on gryphons. Able to bombard their enemies with powerful explosives, safe from the edge of their swords.
Linirea's Dwarven artillery troops riding Gryphons, Gryphon Bombardiers are ranged flying enemies that assault groups of units with a moderately strong area attack at a fast rate by throwing bombs. This makes them extremely dangerous to barracks and reinforcements.
Strategy
- One has to be careful not to clump up allied troops, as their bombs can quickly destroy them, especially if other enemies are tanking for them. Placing Reinforcements underneath them helps them clump together so that area attacks are more effective.
- Bone Flingers, Shadow Archers, and magic towers are good at killing these enemies as they do not have any armor or magic resistance.
- As with all ranged enemies, Gryphon Bombardiers tend to stay behing other enemies, so Bone Flingers might have a better chance of hitting them, as they attack random enemies rather than the first enemy.
- Blazing Gem might also be useful, as it targets the last enemy instead of the first, and Gryphon Bombardiers tend to stay a bit behind ground enemies.
- If there are other ground enemies near them, Goblin War Zeppelin and Rocket Riders can destroy them with splash damage, though this is quite situational and should not be relied upon.
- Avoid using Rotten Forest Forest or Melting Furnace against them as they cannot hurt Gryphon Bombardiers at all.
- Any area attack is very effective in killing them, as they tend to group up in front of units they are bombing.
- Asra's Onyx Arrows and Toxic Rain are very effective in quickly dispatching these enemies.

- They bear similarities to the Gryphon Riders in Kingdom Rush Origins stage 6, Gryphon Point, though the riders in this instance are dwarves, instead of what appear to be elves in Origins.
