Husks are zombie-like creatures that appear in the Rotten Forest and Fungal Forest in Kingdom Rush.
Overview[]
Fallen warriors, their bodies claimed by the forest, they are now only husks of their former selves.
Husks can be considered as more powerful versions of Brigands, with decent armour and a large pool of HP. A Husk spawns from a Poison Pool whenever a soldier dies, similarly to Skeletons and Skeleton Knights (though they don't spawn with the death of enemies - only friendly units).
Strategy[]
- Husks don't have the attack power of Demon Spawn, but they have one aspect that makes them difficult: medium physical armor. This means that mages are a must to deal with them, and even then, mages fire slowly and Husks almost always appear in large groups of 10+, too large for most mages to handle.
- The Husks' decent HP means that they can shrug off attacks from low-leveled Archer Towers, and they appear in large numbers which can easily overwhelm the player's mages.
- As mentioned above, the Poison Pool in Rotten Forest and Fungal Forest spawns one Husk every time a soldier dies, so it's not recommended to use a lot of non-upgraded Barracks. Paladins are a better option, as they are much more durable.
- Husks are immune to poison, rendering the Rangers Hideout's poison arrows ineffective against them, though Wrath of the Forest is still useful for slowing them down.
- Husks are like Zombies, slow speed, low damage and an average health pool, but slightly more durable, with their medium physical armor.
