On August 12th 2014, Ironhide Game Studio announced a new Kingdom Rush game on their facebook page, with a release date scheduled for this fall.
Since that date, small snippets of information on the game have been released by the developers on the official Ironhide Community Forums .

"We learned from our mistakes we didn't want to announce it until we were very secure of the release date. We are not rushing it, we had been working on this game for a year, we are 18 right now on our studio. This is a whole new game, probably the biggest game we ever create."

It will still be the Kingdom Rush you all know but crazier and meaner (no racing unfortunately ). We tried to make a bigger step that the one we took between the first Kingdom Rush and Frontiers... We might have screwed it up but the player inside me tells me it's gonna be awesome
For the ones who asked about a sequel with the alien who grabbed the stone... who knows... we have some ideas but that's for a distant future, maybe for a next KR, maybe for something else; too soon to say.
