Magma Elementals, called Lava Elementals on the mobile and Steam version, are massive, hulking beasts made of rock and lava. They use devastating area attacks and have more health than any other (main campaign) non-boss enemy in Kingdom Rush.
Overview[]
Made of rock and fire, magma elementals are beings of death and destruction.
Magma Elementals are functionally similar to the Yeti; tremendously durable enemies that can stave off many attacks and can take out swathes of soldiers with one swing. Soldiers will fall quickly to the ground.
Magma Elementals, being simply giant rocks, are immune to poison.
Strategy[]
- Magma Elementals are among the most durable enemies in Kingdom Rush. For this reason, the Musketeer Garrison's Sniper Shot ability and the Arcane Wizard's Death Ray are particularly useful against Magma Elementals; both abilities can kill it in a single hit.
- Otherwise, they can just be stalled with Barracks or reinforcements, but powerful support is required. Rain of Fire, although ironic seeing as they are both made of rock and flame, is effective at weakening Magma Elementals, though they still need a beating to be defeated.
- For some reason (possibly due to their humanoid form), Magma Elementals are reanimated as Skeleton Knights at the graveyard.
- The Arcane Wizard's teleport and the Rangers Hideout's Wrath of the forest are both effective at slowing them down.

Trivia[]
- Despite being made of fire and lava, they oddly appear in the Extra-Campaign level Sarelgaz's Lair which is situated in the cold mountain regions of the continent (Flash only). This is explained by the stage’s description on flash, which states that, before his defeat. Vez’nan sent some of his forces to awaken Sarelgaz, who then took control of the dark army.
- On IOS and Flash, Magma Elementals share the iconic bear growl sound that most giant enemies have when they die.

Strategy[]
They are among the most dangerous enemies in this Adventure. They have high health and armor and a strong melee attack. Stunning them takes them out for one turn and is one thing to do against them. Otherwise, all damage and effects are a good strategy.
