Ogres are one of the most durable and hardest-hitting enemies in the early stages of Kingdom Rush.

Overview[]

Big, ugly and tough humanoids, they'll obliterate everything in their path.

Ogres are stronger counterparts of Goblins and Orcs, with much higher damage output and health. They attack in quick succession, allowing them to clear out Militia and Footmen within seconds. When accompanied by Shamans, they prove to be a great threat to the player's defenses.

Despite only being introduced in the third stage, Ogres are very strong relative to the beginner enemies in other kingdom rush games, boasting nearly one thousand health and an average of fifty DPS.

Strategy[]

  • Mages work well against these enemies. Ogres are so slow that the reload time is not an issue, while the Mages will gradually wear them down with their high damage per attack.
  • Have soldiers hold or otherwise manipulate the auxiliary enemies such as Shamans, Since if an ogre is accompanied by these it will be very difficult to kill, but an ogre without company will be much easier to destroy.
  • Despite being cleared out relatively quickly, multiple barracks will keep Ogres at bay as they will keep respawning.

Trivia[]

  • Ogres are the first enemies in kingdom rush that have the iconic bear growl sound on death. Most giant enemies later in the series also have it.
  • A total of 36 ogres (37 on the Flash version) appear throughout all of the levels of Kingdom Rush.
  • Game files name: "enemy_ogre"

Appearances[]

Overview[]

Ogres are the strongest orc melee units and can sometimes be found in Krum'Thak's Dominion.

Skills[]

Name Cooldown Type Range Effect
LokR Nme Clobber Clobber 0 Regular 1 The Ogre's basic attack, deals [attack] ±1 damage LokR Attack Icon to the main target and [attack]÷2 damage LokR Attack Icon to adjacent units. All units hit are knocked back.

Strategy[]

  • They have a very strong Area-of-effect attack that has no cooldown and they have no armor but very high health. Preventing them from reaching the player's units is a good option. They only have a melee attack and rooting them or stunning them are good ways to stop them. Otherwise, attack them until they die with everything is the only other option.
