- General, our Kingdom is in peril once again! King Banesti, of neighboring Niroma was on his way here for the "Great Tournament of the Kingdoms", but he was captured at Mournful Valley. His people would never forgive us if something happened to the elderly sovereign, it could lead to war between our two realms!
- The fastest route to the valley is, I'm afraid, the Royal Roadway, through the infamous Rotwick.
Rotwick is the twenty-third stage in Kingdom Rush and the first of the Curse of Castle Blackburn mini-campaign available in the Steam, iOS, and Android versions.

General[]Rotwick is full of enemies that come in swarms, and any successful strategy will be tailored to counter them. Most troublesome is likely the Wererats, given their speed and the swiftness with which they can dispatch your own troops. Upgrades and Hero[]Elora Wintersong is an excellent choice, with her strong crowd control and ability to slow down faster enemies like giant rats and Wererats, whose armor is bypassed by her magic attacks. Thor is also a strong contender due to his abilities, which also have good crowd control and the potential to stun, though his basic attack is something of a liability a liability as it is melee only. Towers[]Artillery is a strong choice against everything this level has to offer. A 500mm Big Bertha can kill the crowds of zombies and skeletons with relative ease, and even maul the giant rats and wererats. Barbarians control the undead, particularly with Whirlwind attack, and throwing axes can damage giant rats and wererats before they can approach and cause disease. Though they lack armor, they actually have more raw health than Paladins, which is more important against the disease spread by the rats. It's advisable to place one on the rearmost strategic point to catch leaks and quickly dispatch the skeletons that spawn from the piles near the exit. Though counterintuitive, considering their armor, giant rats and Wererats can be countered handily by Rangers Hideouts, specifically with Wrath of The Forest. Unlike barracks troops it can slow the rats without providing a target for their disease. |
