Vampiresa are female vampires that only appear in Dusk Chateau.
Overview[]
Powerful undead that live off the blood of their victims.
Vampiresa always appear in large numbers, and most always fly from a balcony to the middle of the path, allowing them to bypass half of the player's defenses. Vampiresa possesses an unnerving ability to drain 150 HP from your soldiers and add 300 HP back on to their own. Under the light of the Moon, the Vampiresa's Life Drain ability gains a 50% and 100% boost in damage and health recovered, respectively.
However, Vampiresa has a critical weakness: they receive 10x damage (800 - 1600) from Lucrezia's Cloak ability, whose proper use is essential in the stage. This instantly kills them on Normal and Casual, and severely cripples or kills them on Veteran.
Strategies[]
- Lucrezia should be kept away from single Vampiresa in order not to waste her cloak attack. Reinforcements or Barracks should be used to stall them (the units won't last long, but they'll last long enough to group them together) and then Lucrezia should be moved into position to take out as many Vampiresa as possible in one go.
- With high Magic Resistance, Vampiresa will shake off any attack from Archmage or Necromancer Towers. Their ability to drain life from soldiers to replace their own makes stalling them a tough job.
- It is possible to stall them with Templars with max level Toughness. However, their damage output is not enough to kill the Vampiresa effectively.
- The Crossbow Fort will help smash through their absent physical armor, and the Tribal Axethrower's Totem of Weakness will help knock them down a peg or two also. Totem of Spirits can disable their life drain ability.
- Their life drain ability can be dodged by Assassins.
- Vampiresa cannot use Life Drain on Lucrezia and undead units. On iOS, it is bugged that they can.
